This was a lousy experience from the beginning. This was for my parents who are both elderly and way too trusting. Salesman showed up within hours of tech telling them the A/C had went bad. Rammed through a deal making them believe competitors would be priced higher. Then I stepped in on the day of install. Contacted customer service. Woman lied claiming it was not possible to reach a sales consultant because it was a Saturday. Then when I said I would send the installers home the salesman miraculously became available. Salesman agreed to drop some on the price. Allowed installers to complete job. The following week we decided the price was still way too high and suggested we wanted it all removed and we would get another company to come in at a far better price. Salesman came back out. While the price was lowered a bit more, it was still way too high. The salesman is a condescending jerk. Despite the fact that my mother and I were right there, he kept trying to talk to my step dad because he had figured out my step dad was too trusting and didn't like conflict. My mother has health conditions that require they have working A/C and the salesman preyed on that by saying there would be a gap between the time your company removed the furnace and A/C and the new units would be installed. My parents ultimately accepted the deal. Then the very next day the A/C was not working and required a service call. Tech said installers wired incorrectly and he re-wired. 2 days later it again stopped working which resulted in another service call. Turns out first tech re-wire job was also wrong which caused the main circuit board to fail which had to be replaced. All in all if I had to rate the overall experience on a scale of 1-10, I would give it a negative 5. Every part of this was handled poorly by 24 hour. (Oh yeah, me telling the customer service rep that I would send the installers home resulted in her claiming I threatened her.) I am still trying to decide if I should take this to the BBB and Fox 6. A company that takes advantage of elderly people should not be in business.
